Here are the requests we will be lifting up during our FYM prayer time on Sunday night. I will edit this list as requests are answered and new ones are voiced (updates are in purple).
– Pray for the other FYM and Real Life teams who were with us at training camp:
Dominican Republic… safe travel for the Christmas break; a time of relaxation and rejuvenation while at home; a renewed energy and strength for the spring semester
Peru… safe travel for the Christmas break; a time of relaxation and rejuvenation while at home; a renewed energy and strength for the spring semester
Mexico… safe travel for the Christmas break; a time of relaxation and rejuvenation while at home; a renewed energy and strength for the spring semester
Africa… safe travel for the Christmas break; a time of relaxation and rejuvenation while at home; a renewed energy and strength for the spring semester
Jeffrey’s Bay… safe travel for the Christmas break; a time of relaxation and rejuvenation while at home; a renewed energy and strength for the spring semester
India, Swaziland… these Real Life trips are finishing up their 3-month trips; pray for safe travel home
– Continue to pray for my friend Jeremy as he deals with the diagnosis of chronic health issues. The pain returned last week, prompting another trip to the hospital. Doctors are unsure what’s causing the pain this time, so they sent him home “to take it easy.”
– Pray for a friend of Jarred’s who desperately needs a relationship with Christ. Pray especially for Jarred as he seeks to share wisdom with this friend.
– Praise God for restored and new relationships with Christ among our family members and friends.
– Pray for each of us as we prepare to go home for Christmas. Some of us are returning to good situations; others are dreading the prospect of being at home for a month. Pray that God would prepare our hearts for interactions with our families and friends. Pray that we would be a witness for Him at home as we have been during our time here in England.
– Pray for our ministries: school assemblies/lunch clubs/after-school clubs; Albert Park Youth Club; Parent & Toddler Group; the Eden Bus; Brownies; Jigsaw; Chimp Chillers; Blackley Boys & Girls Club; Deeper; the A-Zone. Pray that we would continue to develop relationships with the people of Broughton and Blackley that would provide us with opportunities to share the Gospel. Pray that God would be working to start a revival here.
– Pray for Tammi, a woman from my parents’ church who is battling cancer. She has been hospitalized due to reactions to the chemo. Pray also for her two kids as they deal with the reality of their mother’s sickness.
– Almost all of us are trying to figure out what God has planned for us to do after this time in England. Please pray that we would trust in God’s timing to reveal His plan. Pray that God would continue to provide guidance and direction in that area.
– Pray that we would have opportunities for rest and relaxation over the Christmas holiday. Pray that God would restore our strength and energy and prepare us for the coming semester. Pray for safe travel.
