This will probably be the first of many prayer requests for my grandmother.  She has Alzheimer's, and my dad and his family just recently made the decision to put her in a nursing home because my grandfather can't really care for her on his own anymore.  Things have been going pretty well, but last night they had to take her to the hospital.  Apparently she had a reaction to her medication, and she wasn't really responding to any attempts to wake her up and keep her alert.  The doctors think it was a change made in her medication; so they're going to try putting her on a different dosage and on different meds.  Please pray for guidance for the doctors and for patience for my family as wait for them to get everything "just right".

I think this situation is probably the biggest obstacle for me mentally when it comes to this trip.  What if something happens while I'm in England, and I can't be here with her or my family?  I think this is going to be another lesson in trusting God's sovereign plan for my life and the lives of the people around me.  It's also encouraging me to make the most of every moment I
do have to spend time with her.
