If you’ve read any of my most recent entries, you know that I’ve been pretty tired lately. I’m going to be performing in a Passion Play production called “The Lower Room”; our first performance is one week from Friday, so we’re getting into the final weeks of rehearsal. Putting the finishing touches on the sets, getting the technical aspects figured out (lighting, sound, set movement, etc), and making sure everything is ready to go mean loooooooong hours of rehearsal each week. My sister walked into our family room the other day and said, “You do still exist! I haven’t seen you in like three days!” When I’m not at work, I’m at YFC painting or rehearsing. Plus, I’ve spent the last few weekends seeing a number of high schools’ musicals, meeting my sister in State College to celebrate her birthday, and saying goodbye to a cousin who’s headed to Boot Camp. Just typing all that makes me tired!
So I’m writing this post to ask for your prayers. Please pray for the cast and crew of the “The Lower Room”; pray for the strength and energy needed to perform this show well so that the message can be accurately heard. Pray for the people who will come to see this show; pray that God will move in their hearts to create a desire to know the One who loved His creation enough to give His own Son’s life to be in relationship with them. Pray that ultimately God will be glorified in both the rehearsal process and in each of the performances. Please pray for me; pray that God will keep my heart humble during these performances so that my focus is completely on Him; pray that He will keep me healthy (many of my fellow cast members are sick); pray that I spend any spare time I have investing in the eternal things (my relationships with God and other people).
