Ok… I think there might be something wrong with me. I haven’t posted a blog in almost two weeks! I think I’m hitting that two month mark where my “forward progress” just seems to come to a halt. It hasn’t helped that I’ve been sick off and on for the past two weeks. Living in a house with 8 other people means we just keep passing around the same germs. Fortunately, next Sunday I get to celebrate Easter in England and then spend a week relaxing! We’re calling it Spring Break… and I hope the weather decides to fit the title. My parents and sister will be arriving Friday afternoon! We’re spending some time in Manchester and Conwy (in Wales) before heading to London for a couple of days. After they leave next Wednesday, I’m spending two glorious days on my own in Bath… Jane Austen country! I can’t wait to explore the city that is the inspiration and setting for many of Jane Austen’s stories as well as making a trip to see Stonehenge! Please pray that I remain healthy enough to enjoy my time off.
In the mean time, this week is going to be pretty busy. We have our normal ministry stuff, plus extra Easter-related events. I’m playing piano for the Maundy Thursday evening service at St. Andrew’s which means using as much of my spare time as possible to practice (which is difficult when you don’t have a piano in the house). Christine and I are singing for St. James & St. Clements’ Good Friday service. And Andrea, Drew, Ian, and I are doing an assembly at Crab Lane on Tuesday that will pretty much present the Gospel. Please be praying that God will be present at these (and other) events. St. Andrew’s has some outreach events planned as well, so be praying that people would come and be open to the Gospel.
Thank you again for all of your prayers and support! I couldn’t do this without you.
In Christ,
Katie
