I’m currently sitting in the Frankfurt
airport. We had an uneventful 9-hour
flight from Atlanta to Frankfurt. We flew with some other AIM teams heading to
Africa and India,
and now we’re all hanging out at the airport.
The England team has
a “short” layover of 5 hours; the Africa
teams, 15! It’s about 3:30 in the
morning EST, 9:30 here. Our flight to Manchester is about an
hour and a half long, so we’ll be arriving there around 1:00 pm GMT (8:00 am
EST).
It’s hard to believe that I’m in Europe. The farthest from home I’ve ever been was the
Dominican Republic
last November, so this is a pretty big adventure for me. I didn’t sleep well on the plane, so it’s
probably going to be a long day. I’m
hoping that means I sleep well tonight, though.
Right now, I just really want a shower and some good tea. J
Please be praying that our bodies will adjust quickly to the
time difference; I don’t function well when I’m tired. Please be in prayer for our new teammate,
Hilary (she’s the other one my blog picture), as she’ll be flying by herself
from Houston to Frankfurt to Manchester later today.
