I just logged in to my account to check my fundraising account, and I was shocked!  The number hasn’t really changed in almost a month, but in the course of one day, it jumped more than $1100!!!  God is so good.  I was starting to worry about whether or not the money was really going to come in.  Last night as I was falling asleep, I decided to finally pray about it.  I asked God to help me let Him be in control of the situation, and I asked Him to provide.  And boy did He provide!

As of this moment, I have more than 50% of what AIM requires in gifts and pledges.  That means I have about 43% of the $11,500 I need total.  I still need at least $3200 “cash” to come in between now and September 1st (which is alot closer than you think it is).  Thank you to everyone who has contributed or pledge contributions so far.  Please pray that God will continue to provide, and please prayerfully consider how He is calling you to be part of this ministry.

I would also greatly appreciate your prayers for two other things:

1. I have been unemployed for almost a month now, and I still have not been able to find a job for the summer.  Three different temp agencies have interviewed me, but none of them have found place for me yet.  I’m really starting to stress, because by the time I finish paying bills this week, I will have $88 in my bank account without much hope of replenishing it in the near future.  I need to book airline tickets and get a visa and medical insurance for this trip plus save enough to make loan payments while I’m gone… all of that takes money that I don’t have.  So please pray that God will open the door to a job that pays well and I will somewhat enjoy for the next 2.5 months.

2. The youth group at my church is holding a car wash this Saturday, and they’re donating part of the proceeds to me for this trip.  Please pray that the weather is good for washing cars, and that God uses this to event to show the kids His faithfulness and provision.
